Vintage Deviled Egg Plates

If you love deviled eggs as much as I do, then you probably want a really pretty way to serve them.

I’m fortunate enough to have inherited Dolly’s milk glass egg plate. And if you want to know a little secret about that milk glass egg plate, it has a crack on the back. Every year I look at that crack and the super glue my Mom put over it and wonder how much longer it is going to last? I know at some point it’s going to break. You know what though? If my Mom loved it enough to superglue it and try to hold it together, then I’m going to handle it with kid gloves and take really good care of it too.

Last year my sister came out for a visit, and we spent the week piddling at various consignment stores and antique shops. We found the BEST egg plates on that trip! If you’d like to read about it, check it out here.

I’m still on the hunt for an unusual one like we found my sister. And since I’m slightly obsessed about it, I’ve rounded up some of my favorites. If you don’t like in person shopping, you can find some really great ones on ebay or etsy. I still highly recommend going to consignment stores and going on a treasure hunt. That’s where you’ll find the egg plates that have stories to tell!
